Sit spot

I arrived at my sit-spot at 10:32 am and left at 11:43 am and it was a bright sunny morning. I had never been there early in the morning; I tend to go to my sit-spot in the afternoon close to the evening. I chose that particular part of the day because I felt it would be more peaceful and there would be no human foot traffic, and I was correct about this prediction.

I had arrived at my sit-spot and I immediately noticed that the grass was much more patchy and dead. There was much more animal activity, it was almost like since the sun was awake, they were awake. The weather was very nice, it was about 62 degrees and sunny. The sky had a whole bunch of fluffy looking clouds making some interesting shapes, they were also moving kind of quickly as well.

Both weeds

I saw many different insects trying to crawl over me per usual and they seemed to be all the same species. I also saw two cute squirrels who were quite curious; humans must be around them often. The squirrels kept on picking up leaves or what seemed to be acorns or nuts and checking to see if they were edible. Most of them seemed like they weren’t edible because they barely ate anything. I really only saw those squirrels running around, not many other animals except for some loud birds.

 

I’ve been tracking 2 different typed of flowers, which have died and have been replaced by weeds. I also have been tracking this tree, where its bark seems to be peeling off, which I don’t know if that means it’ s dying. I saw some moss growing on it which wasn’t there before, or not as much. There also seems to be some poison ivy growing on it, so I kept my distance!
