My sit-spot

This time for my sit-spot I went at a time that I have never been before, I went at dusk or sunset. I arrived at my sit-spot a little after 5, why I have been at 5 o’clock before, it has been before the time change, so it has always been bright when I went but never at dusk. This time it was dark, and the sun was setting which gave the whole atmosphere a vastly different feeling and esthetic. I choose to go at this time because for 1) I have never at this time before and 2) I felt like this would be a good time to go and I wanted to watch the sunset from my sit-spot.

Going at dusk was not entirely different then going during the day. The weather was a nice warm lower/mid 70s (which is quite warm for almost dark in November) and was very

pleasant. Through the buildings I could see some red and pink highlighting them from the sunset- I knew I would not get a whole view of the sunset, but I wanted to try and just see what it looked like, building and trees blocked most of it but what I could see of the sky was nice. The biggest difference of going at this time of day was that it was darker so I could not see many details of my surrounding. Going at this time was somewhat different, but overall, I really enjoyed it. Because it was darker, I did not physically see any animals at my sit-spot, but I could hear some crickets and cicadas around me. The only major changes since the last time is that now the bush and the plants are both completely dead.

As I said before, going at this time was not entirely or majorly different from going during the day. It was definitely darker which made it harder to see everything, but I could still see. The only other noticeable different was the fact that there are normally quite a few animals like spiders, ants, squirrels and the infamous water skidders, but I did not see any of those this time. Overall, I enjoyed going at this time, it gave the whole place and different but good vibe and came with a decent view of the sunsetting.
