My sit spot is in front of Chapel and have to take down stairs from the chapel. I have never seen anybody there although the place looks like a park forest. There are two parts of the park differentiated by the stream in the middle. So, I chose this spot to be around the forest as well as aquatic environment. The spot contains a lot of trees and bushes near the stream. The largest tree there is sycamore tree. I chose my spot under the sycamore tree turning 86 E. This time I am facing opposite of the stream because I wanted to know more about the forest environment than aquatic one.  In the park along with beautiful green color of trees and grasses, we have different color flowers and berries and a small stream. So, I thought this place would be perfect for me to know more about the ecology system.

It was very early in the morning I decided to do a blog. I reached my sit spot at 7:05 in the morning and started to tune in around 7:07. The sky was clear blue with very less clouds. The grass was wet and I could smell the wet soil vividly. I was happy because there was no any human made sounds around in that peaceful time that I was hearing the buzzing of insects more distinct than I used to before. The weather was cooler with the temperature of 69 F. although it was already bright morning, there was no single ray of the sun.

I found the birds to be more active at that time in the morning. I could clearly hear the sounds of four different birds. The birds I saw were mocking bird, crow and a group of tiny black birds. They were making that melodious sound as if they were notifying “it’s already a morning”.

However, after 7:30, the number of birds making the sounds and hovering around gradually decreased. I heard the sound of mockingbird few times and that’s it. Then, as it started to get warmer, the squirrels started to come out of their burrows and jumped from one tree to the other. I didn’t see any tiny insects other than mosquitoes around.

I felt like I was in the middle of the forest. Sitting under the huge sycamore tree, many dry leaves were falling around me in a slow circular motion. The trees were green however, more than 30% of the leaves had turned into yellow or brown color. The ground was full of yellow dry leaves. I noticed that mostly the upper part of the trees were turning into yellow color that the lower one. There were yellow leaves in the below part but not as much of the upper part. I have been so fascinated to know more about the fruit of the sycamore trees as they are really thorny. I also noticed that from my first time visit to now at my sit spot, the red berries has highly decreased in their amount.

I found many differences in the sit spot before and on this blog day. The main reason could be the time difference as I did my first blog on the evening and also the change in the season. The arrival of fall has started changing the green color of the leaves. I am also confused about the water in the stream. I have not seen the water in the stream near the library which is north of my sit spot. However, the stream near my sit spot had difference in the water level from my first blog spot and second. For my upcoming blog, I am planning to be more clear about the water in the stream, green thorny fruits of sycamore and the quantity of red berries
