Cloud streaks in the sky visible thanks to the brush die down

Life comes in many different forms in which some of these different forms can be observed through season change or in the time of day. Many times have I visited this spot during the day, but every time a new perspective emerges, especially when compared to my previous visit at dusk. The allure of the night held too many dangers when enveloped by the banks of the creek, so the best juxtaposition to dusk would be day time.

Newly exposed rocks along the shore line

The blue sky was shielded by the layer of fluffy white clouds that left streaks across the horizons. Sounds of cars roaring past echoed throughout the creek bed without the usual layer of leaves to muffle the sound. My ears were continually filled with so many different forms of life unlike the serene silence of the setting sun upon my last visit. Birds were not visible but their songs filled the air carrying it throughout the forest. At one point, a group of crows seemingly had an argument amongst each other.

Bright green leaves of the lilirope grass

The once leaf-filled forest now stands barren with a newly exposed ground layer. Rocks along the bank were no longer covered in a layer of leaves and the creek bed had been relieved of the piles of leaves along its protruding boulders as they had all been carried away by the stream as well as the wind. There had once been scores of water striders and snails along the stream, but only a few remained unlike the vibrant activity occurring along the stream’s surface last time. Although this experience yields a new type of surface water life, this time it can be contributed to the fast-flowing water creating bubbles that made the previous times’ water seem docile.

Leaves upon the willow tree and the lilirope grass remained despite the season change altering the landscape around them. My eye can now see even further than previously as there is nothing to obstruct them.
