As always, the artificial droning drones on. But that’s not important.

Just as it was time to start writing, a cool breeze swept through. I was warm in my spot, and the soft, cool breeze brought back indescribable memories of the fall season. Past moments of happiness that I can’t quite pin down. With the warm hues of the leaves of the bush before me, I was so happy. It brought me out of my head, and soothed my self from a particularly hard week I was having. In the background there are no cicadas. There are, however, many crickets. They’ve almost replaced the chorus of cicadas. Along with them, there is this mystery noise. It sounds as if you were pouring marbles into a glass jar, or hitting something against the spokes of a bike wheel as it spun around. When I looked to my right, I saw something spectacular. I saw a defiant dandelion growing from the cracks in the stone wall of the pond. I say it was defiant because of its location, the time of year it was blooming, and It was huge! It was huge and bright and made me think of myself…
About that bush, its leaves are more red and yellow now. And that mystery fruit plant that’s right next to it isn’t looking to hot. It’s leaning forward, and the fruit looks a bit shriveled. It was not like that before, the opposite, actually. Ah the beauty of autumn… must be recognized with the death in autumn. At my feet there are tiny grey bird feathers. The bamboo around me is still green as it was last time. Same goes for the foliage under the autumnal bush, and the vines along the back of the pond.
Now onto the pond (spring), the main attraction. Today the pond had no sun shining down into it. It was all in the shade. The water striders seemed more active than usual. I forgot to count them. There are several dead leaves and even pine needles floating in the water. It didn’t impact the drain at all, though. I saw no crayfish today. Perhaps they hibernate? Perhaps they like the sun? I did see all of those cute salamander looking things, though. It seems to me like the water in the pond sustains life for so many little organisms in the pond. Like today, I discovered a new organism. It was a bug looking thing that chilled at the bottom and occasionally swam up to the surface, then immediately back down. How curious! I didn’t take any photos because I forgot there were guided questions until after, but they were round, small, and black. There was a red thing in the pond today I noticed. Was it a stone? Was it a carrot? We will see next time I think. The water line appears to be receding. I say this because when I look at the stone I see a dark portion above the surface.
Unfortunately it was harder for me to tune in this session, what with having a hard week and all.

And then I left at 4:40
