During my 15 minutes of observation I tuned into the wind first. It was blowing from the south and it was quite cold. The vine growing on the tree had lost its leaves, but I couldn’t tell if a person or an animal had removed them. There was one leaf left on it. I don’t think it shed its leaves because the ends looked torn. The dense layer of fallen leaves looks like it had thinned out because I could see patches of grass that I didn’t see last time.

I observed my three objects and the small tree looked very brown comparing it to the beginning of the semester. The exposed rock looked generally the same but I could see more of it this time since the leaves on the ground thinned out. The stick also looked pretty much the same from last time, but it did loose some bark over the semester.

Unfortunately there were no clouds to be seen while I was doing my sit spot. I looked in all directions and not a single cloud. The wind was definitely blowing though. It was freezing blowing from the south. I assume that the clouds would be moving in the same direction if there were any at the time.

I spent ten minutes observing three young trees to my right. It looked like they had some vine plants growing on them. It looked like they would be competing for light and nutrients. I thought about how the vines may be having a negative effect on these young trees. The vine-like plants are wrapped around the trees and grow outwards away from the tree too.

I feel like I know this little space better than anywhere else on campus. Other than my room, of course. I enjoyed getting to observe the changes that took place throughout the semester.
