While sitting and observing I watched the wind blowing the leaves and the small plants in front of me on the small hill. The wind was cold and blowing from the south. I noticed how many of the plants still had their leaves and wondered if they were going to keep them throughout the rest of the fall and winter.

My three objects seemed like they didn’t change much. The small tree is a young pine tree, so it will not loose its needles, but it looked like many of them were turning brown last time. It did not look like more had turned brown. The small exposed rock patch looked the same, but some of the moss may have grown more since last time. I couldn’t see my stick since it was covered in fallen leaves, now that I think about it I should have moved the leaves to see if anything had changed.

While sitting with my eyes closed I heard the sound of the leaves being rustled by the wind, being blown across the ground, falling to the ground and of course I heard the seemingly ever present sound of cars. After listening I realized how much movement was happening around me due to the wind.

I observed the tree I usually lean against and it had totally lost all of its leaves since the last sitspot. I noticed it had small holes that looked like they had come from a woodpecker. The tree has thick bark with parts that easily break off. I did not see any invertebrates crawling on the tree like before since it is cold. The vine that is on the tree looks like it has grown longer. I would like to know what species of tree and vine they are.

My sit spot definitely changed since the last time I was there. The tree lost its leaves and the ground was totally covered in dead leaves. Last time the leaves were just beginning to fall and were still yellow and red but now they are all brown. It looked like a lot of the small plants on the hill had died or lost their leaves because it looks a little empty now.
