In my spot I saw lots of yellow. There was like a blanket of fallen yellow leaves. They were very pretty. Some had a mix of red and yellow. I heard lots of crickets again but didn’t see any. There was a bird somewhere directly above my head in the tree, but I never got to see it. It sounded loud so I think it was very close. I wish I could know bird species from just their calls. I think the only one I would know is a crow.

I watched the several mosquitoes flying around me. They would fly and then land on my clothes trying to see if they could suck my blood and when they figured out they couldn’t, they flew to another spot and tried again. This process didn’t take long just a few seconds. I’m really glad I was wearing long sleeves and pants.

I thought about how the water in my spot allows all the plants around me to live and grow. Like the tree I was leaning on at the time and all the plants growing on the small hill in front of me. Then I thought about how water may have shaped the hill. Water could have eroded the soil at the bottom of the hill and the plants on the hill could have prevented erosion making the hill bigger.

Overall, this was a nice sit spot experience. The weather was really nice and it kind of let me relax some because I wasn’t worrying about assignments and tests.
