My sit spot has become much more sunny and can view more of the sky as the leaves have fallen. The floor around my chair are littered with them.

For my sit spot, I decided to go during the early afternoon since I had some free time, and since I usually go at later times in the day as I begin to unwind. I also didn’t realize that the sit spot was due tomorrow, as last week went by much faster than I thought. The weather today is sunny and dry with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. There was a slight breeze with the clouds scattered in the sky after yesterday’s rain.

The tree to my right has fallen, blocking my path to the creek and looking upstream.

While at my sit spot, I could hear crickets and other insects that sounded similar to marbles hitting one another with their high-pitched fast tune. I didn’t really see any animals besides a few squirrels. They weren’t as active as they usually are jumping from tree to tree across the creek. This time they had a mission to find food. I heard birds in the distance all around me, and then a crow landed high on the tree to my right, talking to the other crows in the area. The reasoning I am able to hear more animals is due to not hearing the cicadas 24/7, and I don’t see as many animals out as the temperatures are starting to either come out during the mornings or are migrating to warmer areas. The only other thing I can hear is the campus lawn mower cutting the practice field grass behind me.

Here is a picture of the tree I was watching. Only the ivy remained on the tree to give it any color

The trees have become bare or slowly have lost leaves as the temperature has begun too cool down.

The tree to my right in the big berry bush I did a species summary on has fallen down, blocking my path to the creek, The trees around me were bare, with very few leaves remaining. The floor was littered with yellow and brown leaves. The creek was a little higher than usual but has receded from yesterday.

I have only seen this squirrel run along the roots of the trees across the creek in search of food.

For my three observations of my organisms, I couldn’t see the fish at this time, as the glare and shadows casted from the trees made it almost impossible to see them and get a clear picture of them. The tree with the ivy on it has lost all of its normal leaves and only leaving the vines of the dark green ivy left to grow in its place. The rock in the creek seems to have a much higher water line on it compared to the past times I have seen it, but it hasn’t seemed to erode or lost its white color. There is no more moss growing around it or flowing in the creek like a tail.

The rock I decided to observe with the rising creek has a higher water line compared to my previous observations, but is explainable as a rain storm passed the day before.
