• As I was chilling in my sit spot, I constantly felt a light breeze from the eastern direction. To be honest, there wasn’t much going on. Usually, there are a lot of birds visiting my garden, but I saw none today. This was weird and made me wonder if they found a better place to hang out in. Well, hopefully, that’s not the case. I could see that the avocados on the tree were bigger compared to the last time I actually had a look at the tree. There were moments when the wind grew stronger and I was accompanied by occasional showers of dry bamboo leaves. I also noticed more dry patches on the grass beneath me which is probably because of the overextended exposure to the harsh sun during the afternoon.
  • Just as I was being disappointed by the lack of action in my garden, I noticed a cool spider web in the plant behind me. As you can see in the picture, there is a dried leaf stuck in the middle of it. It was probably blown in by the wind. I spent some time admiring the intricate workings of the spider which was sadly not present at the moment. It would have done for an interesting snap. Just below the plant, I saw a really pretty snail shell lying on the ground. It looked like a sea-shell as you can see in the picture. The biggest change I saw in my sit spot was in the yellow flower plant behind me. I just found out that it is a hibiscus flower. Last time, I saw two healthy blooming flowers and two wilted ones. Today, I only saw one healthy flower. One of the branches were bent and taking the support of the brick wall.
  • Interestingly, the invertebrate I observed was also a snail. But this one was alive and stuck on to the brick wall behind me. It was a bit surprising to see a snail at this time as the monsoon season has already surpassed. Honestly, the snail did not do much for the first few minutes. It just kept twitching its antenna-like structures, which I had no idea were the eyes supported by the tentacles. The snail had finally started to make some movement. It glided slowly along the wall leaving a slight trace of its slimy body. It slid slowly inside a small crevice in the brick wall and pretty much stayed there without even the slightest movement. It probably felt safe and cool inside the hole.
  • My sit spot does not have a stream or brook nearby so the only place where water is playing a role in my sit spot is the ground beneath me. The water-rich soil is providing for the healthy growth of the multiple plants in my garden. The wetness on the rock is allowing for more moss to grow which is giving it a greener appearance. The wet soil is also providing a cool ground and environment for the insects and other small organisms.
  • I would say that my focus remained mediocre during my time in the sit spot. Even though I was not tempted to use my electronic devices, I was frequently worrying about my two tests scheduled for this weekend. Despite being a bit distracted, I really enjoyed my time disconnecting from the internet and being present in nature.
