On November 17th I ventured back out to my sit spot. It was 12:26 by the time I arrived and got my journal ready for the session. I have not been at my sit spot at this specific time, but times close to it. I chose this time of day because it felt like a good time to go. Weather wasn’t bad, so why not?

In my previous post, I mentioned that it was very cold and 50 degrees, maybe a joke that it was unbearable. On this day, it was 40 degree’s and didn’t feel like it at all. Kicked back against a rock and enjoyed the “warmer weather” we had that day. It’s funny how things like that works as the seasons change. There was not the slightest bit of  blue in the sky on this day. The whole sky was white with a light grey tint to it. My sit spot has changed a little more since my previous visit. The leaves have almost completely fell off of the sycamore tree I had been watching.

I sat there for a good bit waiting to encounter some animals. I eventually got impatient and walked around my spot, lifted rocks, moved some dirt around, I even peeled some bark off a large dead limb looking

for little insects and only encountered ZERO. I might have seen a spider, but a part of me thinks that it was just wishful thinking. The experience I had was very quiet and slightly windy.

This was probably my least favorite session. Previously I had seen many different insects and animals. I miss the green on the trees and flowers being very much alive. The only big animal I encountered throughout these blogs was a deer, and I do think it was related to the time of day – early evening.

As I started to pack up and leave, I noticed a Blue Jay singing in the distance.
