I arrived to my sit spot at 11:55 am and I left at 12:30pm, I chose this time because Ive only ever been to my sit spot around 5 when I get off of work on the weekends. The weather ws pretty nice today while I was there, it was around sixty degrees with a slight breeze. It was good to sit outside unless you were in the shade. I chose to go at this time of day because I never have time to during the day; im usually at work or in class. Taking the time to sit down and relax during the day was a change for me and it was actually really nice.
Since the last time I was at my sit spot a lot of things had changed, most of the trees have lost their leaves and the ground was almost completely covered in leaves and broken sticks. The difference in times was very interesting, usually when im at my sit spot I hear a lot of cars passing and people talking, usually its hard to focus. Today when I got there it was almost silent, I could hear a rooster off in the distance to the south and somewhere to the north I could hear a woodpecker on a tree, I could even hear the leaves hitting the ground. overall having this break in the middle of the day was really relaxing and very peaceful. I would most definitely go sit in the middle of the day again because I wasn’t rushing to beat the sun from going down, it was nice to have a relaxing break, and overall it was a more pleasant time than later. My featured image is what the sky looks like and I would like your opinion on what color it is, seeing how im colorblind to most shades of blue the sky looks grey to me but with how bright it was outside I feel like that probably just isn’t right. With the canopy of leaves gone the view is better at my sitspot because I get much more light where im at.
The three things I have been tracking are a tree that is rotting from the inside, a seedling, and a tree that looks like it is slowly dying and losing its bark. The tree that is rotting hasn’t showed much change over time besides the vine that is growing in it looks like it may be declining. The seedling has unfortunately died; it is still there but very much dead. Finally the tree has lost more of its bark and leaves, but im starting to think that maybe it could be because of the type of tree it is.
I really resonate with your statement of taking time to relax outside of our usually scheduled blogs is a really nice thing to do. In my opinion, I would say the sky looks baby blue which is a soft yet vibrant light colored blue. Are you certain that the seedling is dead? Could it be that it just lost its leaves or is is completely broken and brittle? Your post was quite interesting to read! I loved your pictures and the fact you asked the reader an open ended question.
