When I was at my sit spot, I really focused in on all my senses. While I was sitting there, I heard all the cicadas, the movement of squirrels in the woods, and the rustling of leaves on the wind. I could smell the algae in the creek, and the fresh grass growing behind me. Just glancing at where I was, I saw the bright green leaves on trees the clear water in the creek, and the assorted flowers up on the hill. When I looked closely, I could see the ripples of the water from little insects gliding across the creek. I saw a group of ants traveling together to find food. I saw a bird fly up to her nest in the trees.
You got to see so many things! If you get to see the bird again, I would love to know what it looked like! (As well as what the nest looks like)
I love how you noted every sound you heard and every animal you saw. You seem like you have a great sit-spot to observe these animals and their habitat. The way you wrote it made me feel like I could really see and hear all of these animals. Next time do you expect to see the same animals or different ones? What do you think will change as the seasons change with the landscape and the animals? When falls comes how do you think your perspective will change with the environment around you? Nicely done!!
